Team Architects

This building began its life as a robust Government Life Insurance office building before being transformed into an inter city retirement home. The next stage of the transformation process (converting the former five-storey building into 25 inner city apartments including seven penthouse suites) required a major re-think of the layout, and the addition of two floors to make the most of spectacular views to the sea in one direction and across the city and countryside to Mt Taranaki in another. This project showcases creative reuse of an old building, while achieving excellent design, functionality and amenity standards.
