Shearer House
This coastal property is truly unique. The grand, sweeping cedar facade appears to encase the house, providing privacy to occupants whilst also giving the house a warm, natural and contemporary look and feel. The flow of this curved facade is only interrupted by a porthole window (offering a selective view to the outside world) and the front entrance way. It is a spectacular welcome to visitors.
The design seamlessly blends exterior with interior. The use of natural materials introduced to us on arrival, flow throughout the home. Through floor to ceiling glazing natural light filters into the home, and occupants can capture expansive panoramic views. Living spaces open to alfresco dining areas on wide timber decks, patio and landscaped gardens.
Inside, spaces are selectively divided through the careful selection on materials, oriental inspired sliding screens and altering ceiling heights.
Aquamarine highlights link the architecture, finishes and furniture to the superb coastal site.
